Ed focuses on seed, early and late-stage venture investments in consumer Internet with a specific emphasis on commerce, marketplaces, hardware-enabled services and fintech investments. Ed was involved in Norwest’s investments in College Pulse, Common, Glow, Hobnob, IFTTT, Imperfect Produce, JoyRun, Madison Reed, Minted, ModCloth (acquired by Walmart), Policygenius, Second Measure, Smilo, and The Echo Nest (acquired by Spotify).

Most recently, Ed was co-founder and President of Spree Network Inc., an early social commerce network where he led sales and marketing. Prior to Spree, Ed spent four years with the Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory Group at Evercore Partners in New York and London. In this role, Ed executed and analyzed mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and leveraged buyout opportunities in technology, media and telecom sectors.

Ed is currently a mentor with Plug and Play’s Startup Camp and was a co-founder of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum.

Ed obtained bachelor of arts degrees in both economics and environmental studies from Dartmouth College.

    A construction job during summer in high school; I was the best gravel-shoveler and concrete pourer in the class.

    A 1982 diesel Volkswagen Rabbit. It was two-toned, had three speeds and an overdrive, and topped out at 55 mph.

    Skiing, squash, cycling, backpacking, rooting for Pittsburgh sports teams
